Thought before action.

You are fine just the way you are.

When was the last time you sat down to reflect on something you said? Most people won’t remember. But when was the last time you thought of a comment which was made about you? I’m guessing this has a more recent answer…even if the thought is only lingering in your mind subconsciously.

Often times, we make comments without a second of thought. We talk about people’s physical appearances and their emotional well being so lightly that we don’t understand the impact that our words have on them.

“Mental Health .” Google Search, Google, www.google.com/search?q=bullying

The next time you look at somebody and tell them that they aren’t good enough, that their life is worthless and that they’re stupid, think twice, even if you only mean it as a joke.

Remember that everyone has fears. It’s not easy to get up every morning with a smile on your face. It’s not easy to have to face the real world everyday. Heartbreak, loss, pain, especially in such difficult times, is not easy to handle but you can never let it stop you from being your best self.
In these hard times, choose to find comfort in what you love; friends, family, hobbies, anything.

But most importantly, remember that you are not the only one going through a tough time. The people around you could be going through so much that you are unaware of. Anything could be playing on their minds and any comment you make could trigger a thought. So, remember, despite being in a scary place yourself, choose to be kind, please.

Each one us has the power to make someone's day better or worse. Choose to do the right thing, choose to make someone feel better because you never know what they're going through.

Today, you might feel like everything around you is collapsing, your life is falling apart and nothing seems to be going right, but one day, you will know that everything happened for a reason. Choose to work through these endless dilemmas and pain now because you can. You have to believe in yourself because you are stronger than you think.

You will be okay.

  7. Very well written in a very simple but impactful english.. just like Sudha Murty... completely agree that we really don't know about battles others are fighting.. and very casually we pass some loose comments which is enough for them to loose their confidence... we must be careful about what we talk...

  17. Very well Articulated Aditi. This is scientific fact that even thoughts in our minds release harmones which impact our body. Negative thoughts and positive thoughts both impact us physically and emotionally. Now imagine if there are series of thoughts triggered by the words we hear. At the same time, it gives us a choice of reaction. If we understand as mentioned by you and be what we are, these thoughts will not emerge. So choose wisely.
Appreciate the way presented by you. God Bless.
