Be proud.

You be you.

His chest rose and fell painfully, he stood there, trembling, words barely coming out of his mouth. He looked down at his hands as they shook in agony. His mind failed to comprehend what was happening and his body barely understood its own actions.

This feeling, do you know what it’s called? If you don’t, I’m really glad. If you do, I’m so sorry and I hope you feel better soon.
This is what a lot of us call anxiety. Not knowing what’s right and wrong, not knowing what to do and not knowing how you feel in those stressful moments, that's what we call anxiety.

The dictionary meaning of anxiety is the ‘feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome.’
But is that really all that anxiety is?
When anxiety overwhelms you, when all these emotions rush into your brain and take over your body, it's not just the worry of something uncertain, it is a fully-consuming state of mind which stays with you, but only for as long as you let it.

You and I? We’re human beings, we make mistakes, we worry, we take stress and in colloquial terms, we ‘freak out’ from time to time. Each one of us may have different ways of dealing with this, but we have to remember that there is place for every single person on this planet.
We live in a world where change is inevitable, where we encounter different situations every single day and yet, the most difficult part of life is accepting ourselves for who we are…why?

Please, this is a humble request, remember, YOU ARE WORTHY. You are worthy of happiness and you’re worthy of love. You are unique. Whether you choose to believe this right now or you don’t, you can make a difference.
You have worked through what you thought you could barely survive in the past and you’re still holding on.
Be proud of yourself.

We’re always ready to pick faults, criticise others and ourselves. The least we can do, especially now, as we live in the middle of a global crisis, is appreciate the life we have been given. Sit down today, and instead of finding your faults and trying to be a perfectionist, appreciate yourself for how far you have come.
Appreciate who you are; appreciate the things you have done.
Be proud of yourself.
