Grateful

Appreciate it while you still can... When was the last time you looked at somebody and appreciated them? Appreciated the fact that they’re in your life and told them that they matter to you? Or when was the last time you sat down and thought about everything you have instead of thinking about everything you don't? We’re living in a time and place where   every single thing is uncertain. We don’t know what happens tomorrow, whether we’ll face good or bad situations, whether we’ll get the best opportunity of our lives or the worst news ever. Do we have control over the inevitable? No. But can we make sure that the time that we do get, the time we get to stay close to one another, to stay in touch, to talk and bond and to cherish what we have is used well? Yes. In the middle of such a pandemic, one that has trapped the whole planet in its evil grip, we need to find positivity. We need to take this time to learn to be grateful. Faith > Fear Do you remember the last time you visited a memory that scares you? It could be anything, a conversation with someone, an incident that took place, a place you walked into, anything that you associate with a scary, petrifying experience? I remember, like a lot of us do.   Each one of us has been through experiences, both good and bad. Everything affects us whether or not we want it to. But to what extent we let it affect us is something we have control over.   ‘You are what you believe.’ ‘What you give is what you get.’ These phrases seem overrated and overused, but they’re actually very true. When you’re low, when you feel like you don’t have the energy to push through a situation, you take time for yourself, of course you do and you should. But when that’s done, when you’re finally ready to come back from what put you down, you have to be positive and you have to be hopeful.
